The modem itself is not upgradeable. There may be additional trade-up options available, but no details are available. We do not have any information or a timeframe for the future implementation/availability of a standards-based modem.

If at some future time we are able to employ technology to increase the data transfer rate over our network, the modem will be capable of the higher transfer rate.

If there is a firmware upgrade that enables us to provide better performance/security, a purchased modem will be automatically upgraded remotely at the same time we upgrade leased modems.
