If you cannot connect to any Web site and cannot send and receive e-mail, a good troubleshooting step is to check for a cable signal:
1. Check that the following three green modem lights are solidly and steadily illuminated: Power LED, Cable LED and PC LED.
2. If only the power light is illuminated, unplug the power to the modem, wait one minute and then restore the power. The lights should cycle for one to five minutes and following that time, the power and cable lights should remain solidly and steadily illuminated.
3. If the lights on the modem are solid and steady, try restarting your computer.
