How Do I Use Bookmarks in Netscape?

With bookmarks you can easily access your favorite sites on a regular basis.

To add a bookmark:
Navigate to the page on the Web and choose ADD BOOKMARK on the Bookmarks menu. Each time you add a page, the page's title is appended as a menu item.

To use a bookmark:
When you want to return to this page, simply select the TITLE on the Bookmarks list and you will be immediately sent to that page.

To edit an existing bookmark:
If you would like to edit your list of bookmarks, select the COMMUNICATOR menu and then select BOOKMARKS and click EDIT BOOKMARKS. (The Bookmarks window has its own menu bar with items you can use to build and maintain one or more bookmark lists.)

To create a bookmark folder
CLick on the BOOKMARKS in the upper left corner of your Netscape screen. Click on EDIT BOOKMARKS near the top of the list. A new window will be displayed. Click on FILE near the top of this window. A new list will appear. On the new list click NEW FOLDER. The Bookmark Properties window will appear. Locate the box labeled: NAME. Type the name for your new folder and click OK. You can now click and drop any of your bookmarked items into the new folder. You can create multiple folders and name and arrange them in a manner that works best for you. You can also delete any folders or bookmarks at any time--but remember that deleting a folder will also delete all folder contents.

To delete an existing bookmark:
If you would like to delete an existing bookmark, select the COMMUNICATOR menu and then select BOOKMARKS and click EDIT BOOKMARKS. Select the existing bookmark that you wish to delete and use the DELETE function under the EDIT menu.

For more information on bookmarks and advanced techniques, please visit the Netscape Home Page.
