How Do I Uninstall Netscape on My PC?

Uninstalling an application removes files that were added to your hard drive when that application was initially installed. Uninstalling will remove program files and in addition, may delete files that have been created by that application.

You should back up important files associated with Netscape, such as bookmarks, address books, temporary Internet files and cache, to a dedicated folder or disk, before the process begins. You may also want to print the instructions below for reference.

To uninstall Netscape * on a PC:

  1. Click the START button in the lower left corner of your
    screen

  2. Select SETTINGS and click CONTROL PANEL

  3. Double-click on ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS

  4. The Add/Remove Programs Properties window opens

  5. Scroll through the list of programs and highlight Netscape
    Communicator

  6. Click ADD/REMOVE

  7. An uninstall wizard will appear

  8. Confirm that you want to delete the program

*Please note: Mediacom Online cannot guarantee that the uninstall directions provided above will completely remove the application. Mediacom Online is not responsible for the uninstalled application or uninstalled or deleted files created by that application. You may follow the directions above at your own risk and you may need to contact the software manufacturer for continued application support. Mediacom Online customer care specialists will continue to help you with the Mediacom Online software and your cable modem connection.
