A favorite is a tool that allows you to track and return to a preferred Internet site easily by saving that site's Web address. By clicking on a favorite you can access a Web site without typing in the Universal Resource Locator (URL), or Web address, for the site. If you are a new user of the Internet, you will enjoy the ease and convenience of using this feature.
Favorites can be saved in a list and can also be grouped into folders. The more favorites you create, the longer a simple list of favorites will become. Organizing your favorites in folders enables you to locate one quickly without scrolling through a long list.


Adding Favorites and Folders

To create new favorites folder:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Go to a Web site you would like to save as a favorite
3. Click the FAVORITES icon near the top of the screen
4. A list of favorites and folders will appear on the left side of your screen
5. Select ORGANIZE and click NEW FOLDER
6. Type the desired name for the folder and hit the RETURN key on your keyboard
7. The new folder will appear in your favorites list


To save a favorite in a new or existing folder:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Go to a Web site you would like to save in a Favorite
3. Click the FAVORITES icon near the top of the screen
4. A list of favorites and folders will appear on the left side of your screen
5. If you are moving the favorite to an existing folder, highlight the folder and click ADD TO FAVORITES
6. The new favorite will appear in your folder


You can create multiple favorites and name and arrange them in a manner that works best for you. You can also delete any folders or favorites at any time--but remember that deleting a folder will also delete all folder contents.


Deleting Favorites

You can delete favorites at any time. You may want to erase favorites that are no longer active or sites you visit infrequently.

To delete a favorite:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click on FAVORITES in the upper left corner of your screen
3. Click ORGANIZE FAVORITES near the top of this list
4. Your list of favorites and folders displays in a new window
5. Highlight the favorite to be deleted (you may have to double-click the folders to display the favorites)
6. Click DELETE
7. Click CLOSE


Please note that while in the Organize Favorites window, you may create new folders, favorites and dividers.
